Elizabeth and Hilda Laird Scholarship in German

Established in November 1986 by Elizabeth B. Laird (BA 1936, BLS (Toronto)) in memory of her cousin, Hilda C. Laird (BA 1918, BLS (Pratt), PhD (Cornell)), who was Head of the Department of German at Queen's University from 1947 to 1962. Last revised in July 2022. Awarded on the basis of academic excellence to a student entering fourth year of a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree program with an academic plan in German Studies offered by the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures. Selection will be made by the Awards Committee of the Faculty of Arts and Science.
