WAMIC Wood Award
Established in October 2010 by the Women's Association of the Mining Industry of Canada Foundation. Last revised in February 2026. Awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need and academic achievement to upper year students in the Robert M. Buchan Department of Mining in Smith Engineering or the Department of Geological Sciences and Geological Engineering in the Faculty of Arts and Science. The award is renewable for one year provided a satisfactory academic average is maintained and students remain enrolled in full-time studies.
