Istvan and Beate Anhalt Entrance Scholarship
Established in July 2004 in honour of Beate and Istvan Anhalt by Jennifer and Rocco Marcello. Istvan Anhalt, LL.D. (honoris causa, Queen's) Mus.D. (honoris causa, McGill), Professor Emeritus of Music, is a distinguished composer and teacher, and was former Head of the Department of Music at Queen's University (1971-81). Awarded on the recommendation of the DAN School of Drama and Music to students entering the first year of the Bachelor of Music program who show promise in either composition or performance.
