Rector Norman McLeod Rogers Scholarship

Established in April 1982 by family of Norman Rogers, the Chair of Political Studies at Queen’s from 1929 to 1935 in his memory. Mr. Rogers had many academic accomplishments and was committed to public life. He was elected M.P. for Kingston in 1935, served subsequently as Minister of Labour, he was selected as a Rhodes Scholar for Nova Scotia, from 1938 he was the Rector of Queen’s, and at the time of his death was Canada’s Minister of National Defence.
