George M. Hood (Sci '43) Award

Established in February 2002 in memory of George M. Hood (B.Sc. 1943), by his son George N. Hood (Arts 1978, MPA 1981). Awarded on the basis of academic achievement and athletic excellence to student-athletes in any degree program at Queen's University and who are on the competition roster of a Gaels interuniversity hockey team. Preference will be given to students in Smith Engineering. The award will be available to either male or female student-athletes in alternating years.
