Dr. A. E. McMullen Award for Women in Engineering
Established in March 2026 by Michele Taylor and Mark Taylor in memory of Dr. A.E. McMullen who was a professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Calgary for 26 years, from 1967 to 1993. Dr. McMullen passed away in October 2025 but his love of engineering lives on in his granddaughter, Samantha Taylor - Queen’s Engineering 2013. Awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need and academic achievement to undergraduate students in any year in Smith Engineering. Preference will be given to women.
