ILWU Thomas P. Mayes Scholarship
Campus: Vancouver, Okanagan, and non-UBC students Required documentation: A letter from the ILWU confirming “good standing” must be submitted with your application. In memory of Thomas P. Mayes, who until his death in 1968, served as secretary of the Union, the International Longshore and Warehouse Union offers an undergraduate scholarship of $1,500 to active members, dependents, and sons and daughters of members in good standing. The terms and conditions of this award are the same as for the three International Longshore and Warehouse Union Scholarships, described above.
