Alan Bauer Memorial Prize in Mining Engineering
Established by friends, colleagues and students of Alan Bauer, former Head of the Department of Mining Engineering, as a tribute to his outstanding contributions in teaching and research to the department. Awarded on the recommendation of the Head of the Robert M. Buchan Department of Mining to fourth year graduating students in Mining Engineering at Queen's. Two awards will be made annually for the thesis presentation component of course MINE 434. Awards will be presented on the basis of technical content and presentation skills.
