Established in February 2021 by Phyllis Durnford, BNSc 1969. Awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need to students in the fourth year of a Bachelor of Nursing Science program in the Faculty of Health Sciences wishing to broaden their studies through a practicum placement, with preference given to a placement in northern Canada: (Nunavut, Northwest Territories, Yukon) or northern rural and remote areas in other provinces.
