Established in March 2001 by Thomas McLaren, B. Com. 1949, in March 2001, in honour of his daughter, Martha McConnachie, B. Mus. 1976. Awarded on the basis of financial need and academic excellence to a student entering the first year program in the Faculty of Arts and Science.
