Commerce Opportunidad Award
Established in October 2021 by an anonymous donor. Awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need and academic achievement to students entering first year of the Commerce program in the Smith School of Business. Preference will be given in the following order of priority: (1) to students who self-identify as being of Latin American descent; (2) to students whose address on admission is from the province of Ontario. The award is renewable for 3 subsequent years provided a satisfactory academic average is maintained each year and financial need remains evident.
