Christopher Lewis Prize in Music

Established by Marsha and Dr. Spruce Riordon in recognition of the outstanding academic achievements and far-reaching scholarly influence of their brother and brother-in-law, Christopher Lewis (Ph.D. Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester), renowned music theorist and gifted teacher until his untimely death in 1992. Awarded annually to a student in the third or fourth year of the Bachelor of Music program or the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) program in Music for the best research paper in music theory or musicology.
