Lawrence M. Hunter Memorial Award

Established in March 2007 by John L. Hunter, B.Sc. 1969, in memory of his father, Lawrence M. Hunter, B.Sc. 1936 and awarded to a student entering the third or fourth year of studies in Smith Engineering, who has made outstanding humanitarian contributions as evidenced through volunteer activities both within and outside of the university environment while maintaining satisfactory academic achievement. Preference will be given to candidates who have not received other University awards of higher value. This award may be received only once by an individual. Students in the second or third year
