George H. Newsome Award in Mining Engineering
Established in December 2001 in memory of George H. Newsome (B.Sc. 1939) by his wife, Mrs. Janet Newsome, and awarded on the basis of financial need and academic merit to a full-time student in the second, third, or fourth year of the Mining Engineering program in Smith Engineering.
