Established in December 2002 by Peter Kenny, B. Sc.'55, and his wife, Joanne, and awarded on the basis of financial need, academic achievement, and demonstrated leadership qualities to students entering the first year program in Smith Engineering, with preference given to students who were residents of Perth or Halton County on admission to Queen's University.
